Tom is Principal of AEC Direct, a direct-hire placement recruiting firm servicing the Architecture and Engineering professions. Prior to starting AEC Direct, Tom was a Senior Account Executive for Professional Employment Group, in the firm’s Architecture & Engineering Practice. Tom oversaw a small team of recruiting professionals who were focused on identifying and successfully recruiting Architecture & Engineering Professionals for firms across the country. Prior to his tenure at Professional Employment Group, Tom served as the firm-wide recruiter for HOK. In this role, Tom worked with HOK’s 26 world-wide offices, assisting them with their leadership and staff-level talent needs.

Tom has successfully placed over 200 Design & Engineering professionals throughout his career in a variety of staff and leadership level roles throughout the country. Tom views the recruiting process as a partnership with his clients and seeks to engage them at the outset of a search in a discussion about their culture, unique business challenges and organizational goals to help them identify and successfully recruit talent to meet their specific needs.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from University of Dayton, and a Masters of Business Administration from Saint Louis University.
